Marlborough earns another industry award for fund performance
Marlborough has earned another industry award for fund performance.
Marlborough European Special Situations has been named best European small and mid-cap equity fund over five years in the Refinitiv Lipper UK Fund Awards 2023.
The awards, which were announced on Thursday 20th April, recognise consistently strong risk-adjusted performance.
The fund’s manager David Walton and highly experienced analysts Steve Robertson and Tom Livesey identify well-managed companies with proven business models that are trading on valuations that do not reflect their potential earnings growth. Most of the portfolio is invested in under-researched small and micro-cap companies.
This is the latest in a succession of award wins and nominations for Marlborough. Earlier this year Marlborough Nano-Cap Growth earned a place as a finalist in the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards.
In 2022, Marlborough European Special Situations was shortlisted in the Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards, while Marlborough Multi-Cap Growth was named best UK equity fund over 10 Years in the Refinitiv Lipper UK Fund Awards. In the same year, Marlborough’s Chief Investment Officer of Multi-Asset, Nathan Sweeney, was selected for Citywire Wealth Manager’s Top 100, their list of the UK’s most influential fund selectors.
In 2021 Marlborough European Special Situations (formerly Marlborough European Multi-Cap) was named best European equity fund in the FTAdviser 100 Club Awards. In the same awards, Marlborough was also named Best Small to Mid-Sized Investment Group.
