The managers of Marlborough Nano-Cap Growth invest in the dynamic growth potential of the UK’s innovative and agile small-cap companies, which have strongly outperformed the corporate giants over the long term.
Working with one of the largest and most experienced investment teams in the field, Eustace Santa Barbara and Guy Feld invest in the UK’s very smallest listed companies, ‘nano-caps’ – primarily those with a total stock market value (market capitalisation) of £200m or less at the time of purchase.
Small-caps tend to have fewer fund managers and analysts researching them and Eustace and Guy use their stock-picking skills to identify companies they believe have strong growth potential not yet recognised by the wider market. To help manage the risks associated with investing in small caps, the pair hold a highly diversified portfolio of more than 150 stocks, with even their largest positions rarely representing more than 3% of the overall value of the fund.
