Eustace Santa Barbara highlights Smart Metering Systems on Citywire

Eustace Santa Barbara, Co-Manager of our Special Situations fund, has explained on Citywire Wealth Manager why Smart Metering Systems has earned a place as one of his top-ten positions.

He says the company is a ‘steady compounder with an innovative edge’. He says SMS is at the forefront of government efforts to roll out smart meters to 85% of UK households by 2025, and that sharp increases in energy prices have intensified the need for its services, which are designed to reduce costs for consumers and businesses.

He likes the inflation-linked long-term rental revenues the company receives for its smart meters and other assets.

In addition, SMS is developing new clean energy technology that could have exciting prospects for the longer term.

Eustace believes the company has strong long-term growth potential.
